Payal Rohatgi finished as the first runner-up on Lock Upp, which was won by Munawar Faruqui. Payal spoke to the media after her release from the ‘jail’ about her plans to marry Sangram Singh and their plans to have a child, despite her inability to conceive. She joked that if he doesn’t reveal the wedding date a week before the big day, she’ll give his phone number to the press.
“Pehle to hum shaadi kar lein fatafat,” Payal said of Sangram (we should soon get married first). We’ll do it around his birthday, he says. During a press conference, the actor stated that she and Sangram will now look into surrogacy and adoption options.
“I’d like to make both of them approachable from my side because that’s the only thing we’re planning to do right now,” she said. We live in a democracy, so we must use legal means to determine what is best for us.”
Payal was noticeably absent from the post-show celebrations, which included host Kangana Ranaut, producer Ekta Kapoor, and other Lock Upp contestants. She explained that she was disappointed that she did not win the show and thus decided to skip the party.
