PM Narendra Modi will spend two days in Varanasi due to the campaign for the seventh and last phase of the UP Assembly elections. He will be holding a roadshow in the city, which is among the nine districts that go to poll. Amidst the raging Ukraine crisis, he will also be campaigning for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh.
He is expected to stay in Varanasi overnight and address a rally in the district’s rural constituency tomorrow.
He is closely monitoring the evacuation of Indian students from Moscow after Russian President Vladimir Putin assured safe passage to India via eastern borders. PM Modi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval are involved in hectic diplomacy with both Russia and the west to get students out safely from war-hit Ukraine.
