Prime Minister Narendra Modi sought blessings on the second day of the Nine Nights Festival on Friday (October 8) and prayed for success and prosperity in everyone’s lives.
Prime Minister Modi said on Twitter: “On the second day of the Nine Nights Festival, people worship Brahmacharini, the goddess of renunciation and repentance. May Mata Brahmacharini bless All her devotees achieved success and prosperity.”
Earlier, on the first day of the Nine Nights Festival, Prime Minister Modi extended his blessings to everyone and hoped that the festival would bring strength, health and prosperity to everyone’s lives.
The celebration of Sharad (Autumn) Navratri includes worship of the goddess Durga and her nine forms. This festival is celebrated in different ways throughout the country. For the next nine days, devotees pray to Goddess Durga and observe fasts. Also known as Sharad Navratri, this occasion is believed to mark the victory of the goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura and symbolize the victory of good over evil.
The 10th day of Sharad Navratri is called Dussehra or Vijaya Dashami. The Navratri festival will be held from October 7th to October 15th. This year, Ashtami is October 13th, and Dashami is October 15th.
