PM Modi to participate in a 3-day urban conclave in Lucknow today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a three-day secret city meeting in Lucknow on Tuesday, which will be hosted by the Uttar Pradesh Department of Urban Development. Prime Minister Modi will host the “Azadi@75 – New City India: Transforming Urban Landscape” conference and expo at 10:30 am, and will lay the cornerstones for 75 urban projects or plans worth 47.37 billion rupees during his visit. Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). PM Modi will also release 75 electric buses for several smart cities in Uttar Pradesh, and release a coffee table book containing 75 successful projects in 10 smart cities. He will digitally hand over the keys to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) house to 75,000 beneficiaries in 75 regions of the state and will have virtual interactions with the beneficiaries of the program.

The Prime Minister will also announce the establishment of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Chairman at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) in Lucknow. The conference and expo is organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) as part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Its theme is to change the urban landscape, with special attention to the changes brought about by Uttar Pradesh.

The conference and expo will set up three exhibitions, the themes of which are Clean City India, Water Safe City, National Housing, New Construction Technology, Smart City Development, Sustainable Transportation and Urban Livelihood Opportunities.
