Viral video shows Priyanka Gandhi cheering as Channi called on people to “don’t let Bhaiyas from UP, Bihar and Delhi enter Punjab”. This drew heavy criticism from BJP leaders, while Delhi Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal also intervened in the attack on “Baya from Delhi”.
Assam’s premier, who served in Congress until 2015, stepped up his assault on Congress in the ongoing five-state elections. On the day of Uttar Pradesh’s first round of elections, Himantha Rahul criticized Gandhi for ignoring the North East in his “Cultural Union” tweet.
