The Portronics Vayu Portable Tire Inflator has been unveiled in India, priced at Rs. 2,899 (~$39). The unit is a convenient technology that saves drivers and riders the trouble of inflating tires at the gas station. It has also proven to be a valuable addition to the driver’s toolbox. New devices will come with a 12-month warranty.

Portronics Vayu can be used to inflate the tires of vehicles, motorcycles and even balls. It comes with multiple nozzles of different sizes and functions, and it is based on the Presta Valve adapter. Its accompanying LED display will notify users of key details about the item being inflated. A 4000mAh battery powers the Vayu, which puts out 50W of power.

The Portronics Vayu has four modes – car, motorcycle, bike and ball mode, which means it can be adjusted to suit any scene. It can inflate the tires of a standard car in 9 minutes. The Vayu can be charged via USB-C, and according to the company, it can be charged up to 150 psi. Vayu can automatically detect pressure when inflating a tire and stop when it reaches a limit, although the user can also complete the inflation process manually. Portronics Vayu is available through Flipkart in India and the company’s official website as well as offline stores.
