A high-level Congress meeting is going on at the residence of party president Sonia Gandhi. The meeting will discuss the induction of election strategist Prashant Kishor to the party. It will also touch upon the recent election rout the party faced in India’s 2014 general election.
Prashant Kishor met Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday. The meeting makes it official that the buzz around Prashant joining the party is back. He was all set to join the party in 2020 but that plan did not materialise over several disagreements.Prashant Kishor, of late, has been critical of Congress leadership. He tweeted there is no quick-fix solution to the “deep-rooted problems” of GOP. The election strategist is part of the plan for projecting Naresh Patel as chief ministerial candidate.
