We enjoy celebrity fashion coincidences because they provide us with some eye-catching outfits. Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra, sisters, had one of these moments recently. Both divas are fashionistas in their own right, with some fantastic looks in their closets that we’ve included in our long list of steal-worthy looks. However, one of Parineeti’s recent photoshoots in a sheer black saree caught our eye and reminded us of Priyanka’s outfit from the pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles, California. The stars styled it in two different ways and gave us advice on how to drape six yards in two different ways.
Parineeti Chopra took to Instagram on Saturday to share photos from a recent photoshoot in which she wore a black sheer lace saree. On the reality show Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan, she wore the outfit. At the pre-Oscars party honouring this year’s 10 South Asian Oscar nominees, Priyanka wore the same saree. They wore a saree from Jade By Monica and Karishma’s shelves. Ami Patel styled Priyanka while Tanya Ghavri styled Parineeti.
The sheer saree is adorned with horizontal shimmery sequin embroidery, scalloped borders with chikankari work and diamantes, and intricate lace and floral embroidery on the border and pallu in a dreamy black shade. Parineeti let the pallu fall from her shoulders, and Priyanka folded it in neat pleats, while both stars wore their sarees in traditional draping style, revealing their midriffs.
The sheer black saree was paired with a cropped blouse with sheer floral embroidered sleeves and a ruffled neckline by Parineeti. Open tresses, subtle smoky eyeshadow, glossy nude lip shade, and glowing skin completed her look, as did silver jhumkis, embellished rings, and matching heels.
Priyanka Chopra wore the sheer saree with a contemporary embellished blouse. The strapless bralette features a sweetheart neckline, cropped hem, and lace overlay. She accessorised with emerald and diamond earrings, a stacked shimmering bracelet, and statement rings.
