Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday accused Punjab’s Charanjit Singh Channi government of endangering the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by asking the farmer leader to block the route of his convoy to Ferozepur.
Mr Khattar’s charges came after a TV news channel stinging operations over breaches of Prime Minister Modi’s security allegedly showed the “SHO” of the Punjab Police Station concerned telling the channel that he was asked to “stop the crowds and roads” and “He carried out these instructions”.
In a statement from the Haryana government, Mr Khattar was quoted as saying that “CID (Punjab) also warned that another route may have to be planned under bad weather conditions”.
