Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Kashmir Files released in theatres on Friday. Ahead of the film’s release, a special screening was held on Thursday. Former actor-filmmaker Randhir Kapoor, actor Tusshar Kapoor and filmmaker Omung Kumar were among those who attended the premiere.
Randhir was accompanied by his carerakers as he walked towards the venue with the assistance of a walking stick.
The Kashmir Files is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley in 1990. It also stars Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi. Director Vivek Agnihotri collected testimonies from victims and conducted four years of research. Hindustan Times review of the film said, “Showing events in the most brutal and explosive manner”.
