Random Act of Kindness Day

Kindness can never go wrong, and never too much. The idea behind Random Kindness Day is to cultivate kindness and make someone better off. Every little act of kindness counts. It may not seem like it has much effect, but like a domino effect, acts of kindness can lead to more positive outcomes. On this day, do not hesitate to cheer others up with praise and compassion.

Goodwill Day was launched in Denver, Colorado in 1995 by a nonprofit organization called the Goodwill Foundation. Nine years later, in 2004, the event made its way to New Zealand and the celebration of the holiday became more common.

Random Kindness Days may not have been around for long, but kindness has existed throughout human history. There are many prominent figures in history who have made an impact through their selfless acts of kindness – Princess Diana, the Dalai Lama and Mother Teresa to name a few. Various studies have also proved that kindness is undoubtedly an integral part of nature, and people feel cared for since childhood.
