Regarding India’s desire to join FIFA, Vivek Oberoi said: “Unfortunately, we have been primarily focused on cricket.”

India is the world’s second most populous country, with over 1.3 billion people, and it is no surprise that they would want to join FIFA, the world’s governing body for soccer. However, their desire to join has been met with some resistance.

Vivek Oberoi, an Indian actor and producer, spoke out against India’s desire to join FIFA, saying: “Unfortunately, we have been primarily focused on cricket.” He went on to say that India does not have the infrastructure to support a professional soccer league, and that the country’s priorities should be elsewhere.

Oberoi’s comments have sparked a debate in India about whether or not the country should pursue membership in FIFA. Some argue that India has the population to support a professional soccer league, and that the country has the infrastructure to do so. Others argue that India should focus on other sports, like cricket, which is more popular in the country.

What do you think? Should India pursue membership in FIFA?
