Mumbai Indians have been fined by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for maintaining a slow over rate during an Indian Premier League match. The Mumbai Indians were playing against Punjab Kings at the MCA Stadium, Pune on April 13 in India’s version of the Big Bash. This was the team’s second offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct. Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was fined ₹24 lakhs and the rest of the players were fined 25 percent of their match fees.
Punjab posted a strong score of 198 for 5 batting first, with Shikhar Dhawan top scoring with 70 not out and Dewald Brevis hitting 49 off 25 balls.
