On Friday, the Supreme Court allowed the resumption of medical consultation for NEET-PG enrollment in 2021-22 in an interim order and maintained the validity of the 27% OBC and 10% EWS quota.
Judges DY Chandrachud and AS Bopanna stated that the detailed reasons for the interim order will follow, and the NEET-PG consultation in the 2021-22 school year will be conducted in accordance with the notified standards.
The bench stated that determining the validity of the EWS’s 800,000 rupees standard in the next few years will depend on the final ruling of this batch of petitions, and will list the final hearing request on March 5.
