As a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), section 144 was imposed in parts of Seelampur, Jamia and Daryaganj areas of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh Bhavan (Chanakyapuri) on Friday. Significantly, 213 people were detained outside the Uttar Pradesh building on Thursday for protesting against the CAA.
