The BSE Sensex lost 1709.58 points on Wednesday to close at a 3-year low of 28,869.51. At the same time, the NSE Nifty fell 498.25 points to close at 8,468.80, its lowest level since 25 January 2017. Among the 30 Sensex companies, the biggest decline was in the shares of IndusInd Bank (23.90%), PowerGrid (11.29%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (11.23%).
