Shahid Kapoor has said that his film Kabir Singh pushed him to quit smoking. In the film, after Kiara Advani’s character Preeti Sikka gets married to someone else, Kabir who already suffered from severe anger management problems, starts abusing drugs and alcohol, and also becomes a chain smoker.
Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor has revealed that smoking during Kabir Singh’s filming also played a role in him quitting the habit in real life. He made the comment as he opened up about his fitness regime, and shared that he doesn’t drink or smoke.

Shahid Kapoor is currently awaiting the release of his film Jersey. The sports drama, which also stars his father Pankaj Kapur and Mrunal Thakur, is scheduled to hit the theatres on April 22.
