On Thursday, Shweta Bachchan took to Instagram to share an unseen childhood photo of herself sitting on her father, actor Amitabh Bachchan. “Standing on the shoulders of giants,” she captioned it, quoting Isaac Newton. While many celebrities have praised the throwback photo, her brother, actor Abhishek Bachchan, disagrees.
“But you’re sitting,” Abhishek pointed out in the comment section, pulling Shweta’s leg. Ok bye”. Shweta sarcastically responded by calling him a “wise guy” and adding, “Look Ma, such a wise guy!” “It’s a quote from Newton, and I’m not one to mess with the Ogs,” she continued. Their remarks infuriated Angad Bedi, who joined in the banter and agreed with Abhishek. He commented with laughing emojis, “The caption just didn’t’sit’ here Shweta.”
Shweta Bachchan, the daughter of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, frequently posts old family photos on Instagram. Nikhil Nanda, a businessman, was her husband when they married in 1997. Navya and Agastya Nanda are the couple’s two children. While Navya is said to be joining her father’s business, Agastya is expected to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather Amitabh and uncle Abhishek and enter the film industry.
With Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming film The Archies, Agastya will make his acting debut. He’ll be seen alongside Suhana Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, and Khushi Kapoor, Boney Kapoor’s youngest daughter. “Get ready to take a trip down memory lane ’cause The Archies by @zoieakhtar is coming soon only on @netflix in,” Shweta tweeted after the first look was released. She added to the teaser, “This is their story.”
