So far, no one has been injured in a fire at Chennai’s Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital

On Wednesday morning, a fire broke out at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, according to news agency ANI. To put out the fire, several fire tenders were dispatched. Firefighters were seen spraying streams of water and a plume of smoke was seen rising into the air.

“All of the patients were safely evacuated. The fire started in one of the older buildings; however, the new three blocks are fireproof. There have been no reports of casualties or injuries so far “Dr. J Radhakrishnan, the Tamil Nadu government’s principal secretary for health, was quoted by ANI.
