“Sensuality and seduction has nothing to do with profanity and raunchy item numbers… this song has everything yet there is no exploitation of woman and her body parts,” Kangana said alongside the video when she shared it.
The song Aaiye Meharban is from the criminal drama Howrah Bridge, which Shakti Samanta directed in 1958. In addition to Madhubala, the movie also features Ashok Kumar, Om Prakash, and KN Singh.
Actress Swara Bhasker shared a video of Kangana singing a song from her 2013 movie, Rajjo, last year. In response to a news story, Kangana tweeted: “Whenever I impose difficult questions on A-listers, all B-listers come like sepoys. In Pradeep Sarkar’s movie, Kangana will also portray Noti Binodini, a legendary figure in Bengali theatre.
