Awreath-laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines Srinagar on Sunday to pay homage to martyr SI Arshid Ahmad Mir who was killed in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
DGP J&K Dilbag Singh led the senior officers of police and paramilitary forces, civil administration and, relatives of martyrs in paying rich tributes to him.
While speaking to the media, Dilbag Singh said that Arshad Ahmad was a brave and young officer who was at the threshold of the service and was deployed for medical checkup of an accused to a hospital and on his return he was attacked by the terrorists. Police inspector Arshid Ahmad had received multiple bullet injuries and was shifted to a hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries.
