The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulations) Bill has been rescheduled to be submitted to Parliament on Wednesday after the Federal Minister of Health Mansukh Mandaviya was unable to apply on Monday and Tuesday.

The proposed law aims to regulate assisted reproductive technology services. It was placed on the agenda on the first day of Monday’s winter meeting, but could not be brought up during opposition protests. The opposition party went on strike in both houses of parliament on Tuesday to protest the suspension of 12 members from participating in Rajya Sabha.

The dam safety bill has also been on the agenda since Monday, but it may be discussed in Rajya Sabha. It aims to provide supervision, inspection, operation and maintenance of dams across the country. The bill was passed in Lok Sabha in 2019 and is still pending in Rajya Sabha.
