Earlier this year OnePlus launched both the OnePlus8 and onePlus8 Pro. In the run-up to the launch, speculation was high that a third ‘Lite’ handset would also debut. Clearly this didn’t happen, but is the Shenzhen-based company working on a lower spec handset?
The latest leaked specifications suggest so.
It has been reported previously that OnePlus will be using the 7xx series of SnapDragon chips for the so-called OnePlus 8 Lite instead of the rumored MediaTek system on chip.
“The device in question carries the model number “OnePlus AC2003”. We cannot find any prior references to AC2003 but the motherboard and processor identifier reveal that the device has a Snapdragon 765G chipset. These are “lito” and “ARM implementer 81 architecture 8 variant 15 part 2052 revision 14”, respectively.
The Details From GeekBench also include the memory of the device being benchmarked. In this case, it’s 12 GB of RAM. Given the current OnePlus, 8 series handsets offer 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, it’s a good guess that this new handset will also have these two options.
