Jesse, the show’s creator, joined the rest of the HBO crew on stage to claim the trophy. Big week for successions. New king in the UK…for us. Evidently a little more voting was involved in our winning than Prince Charles. I am not claiming we’re more legitimate in our position than he is. We will leave that up to the other people. Jesse stated in his acceptance speech.

After a 70-year reign, Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Thursday at the age of 96 in her vacation home in the Scottish Highlands, Balmoral. Charles, who is 73 years old, immediately ascended to the throne of the United Kingdom as well as 14 other countries, including Australia, Canada, Jamaica, and New Zealand.
