On January 23, 2023, actor Swara Bhasker and politician Fahad Ahmed welcomed a baby daughter named Raabiyaa into their family. She used Instagram Stories on Tuesday to criticise a body-shaming story published in a ‘major’ publication, which implied that her size was the reason she was not being cast in movies.
Swara Bhaskar criticises a news article about her weight
Swara Bhasker tweeted a screen grab of the article’s tweet, saying, “This is a prominent Hindi newspaper handle that believes it’s significant that a new mother, who gave birth a few months ago, gained weight! For those who cannot understand the Devanagari script! Could someone kindly educate the geniuses about the physiology of childbirth?” The original tweet said, “Swara is not getting work because of her weight gain. Badhte wajan ke karan nahi mil raha kaam!”
Regarding motherhood
Swara Bhasker mentioned in October 2023 that she planned to give birth to her first child, Raabiyaa, shortly after getting married. “2023 has been a complete blur, in the most joyful way imaginable. I’ll sum up the year by saying that it was really busy. In less than ten months, I was married and had a child. I would never have realised that I would marry Fahad three months later if we had chatted in October of last year. When God rewards you, he blesses you abundantly (Bhagwaan deta hai toh chhappad faad ke deta hai).
The performer remarked, “All children are a reflection of what their parents are; they grow up with the values their parents give,” in reference to her daughter’s upbringing. Raabiyaa is going to benefit from the finest of both worlds. There will be two types of faith available to her. It is comparable to how caste and religion are mixed together in India. Indeed, during their postpartum conversation, the two families learned that both Hindus and Muslims celebrate the chhathhi, or the sixth day following the baby’s birth. That is very lovely, in my opinion. There is a lot of resemblance, but we tend to focus on the differences. You will discover such garbage if you search for distinctions with an ulterior motive, the speaker claims.
Swara’s occupation
In the 2009 movie Madholal Keep Walking, Swara starred in a supporting part on her feature film debut. Along with many more films, she appeared in Tanu Weds Manu (2011), Raanjhanaa (2013), Nil Battey Sannata (2016), Anaarkali of Aarah (2017), Veere Di Wedding (2018), and the short film Sheer Qorma. Prior to the release of her most recent movie, Sheer Qorma, in August 2023, she starred in the movie Jahaan Chaar Yaar, which came out in 2022.
