According to reports, the Tamil Puligal Kachi community in Tamil Nadu has said that 3,000 Dalits will abandon Hinduism and accept Islam on 5 January 2020 due to discrimination by Dalits by the police. This decision was taken recently after the death of 17 Dalits from a wall falling due to no action under the SC / ST Act.
