According to sources, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has secured a contract from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the delivery of electronic passports (e-passports). The deal is in addition to the second phase of the Passport Seva program that the company received from the ministry.
Companies such as Thales India and HP are involved in the deal, which is expected to be worth Rs 1,000-1,200 crore.
