Tata Motors today officially launched the CNG-enabled Tiago and Tigor models in India starting at Rs 609,000 and Rs 769,000 respectively (ex-showroom). Focusing on the growing market for developing vehicles equipped with CNG technology, Tata Motors ensures that no powertrain remains undeveloped. Equipping Tiago and Tigor with CNG kits may help enhance the prospects of cities with easy access to CNG stations.
Tigor was first launched in the Indian market in 2017, while Tiago was launched a year ago to help Tata Motors gain a foothold in the compact car segment. Both cars have performed quite well in the Indian market, battling stiff competition from the likes of Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai.
