Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar visited Rabri Devi’s home hours after her husband Lalu Yadav was granted bail in a corruption case. Tej Pratap Yadav, Lalu’s elder son, fuelled speculation that the visit could be a signal to the BJP.

Lalu Yadav’s son Tej Pratap: We will form a government and the game will unfold. This is a secret. But he added that the LJP’s Chirag Paswan and BJP’s Shahnawaz Hussain were also in attendance. The Bihar chief minister was said to have spent 20 minutes at the party’s headquarters on Friday.

It is a tradition that all parties in the NDA alliance take part in the event. The BJP won 74 seats in the 2020 assembly polls against Kumar’s Janata Dal United (JDU).
