The audio clip of “Ghar More Pardesiya” (vocals by Shreya Ghoshal and Vaishali Mhade) from the movie “Kalank” was posted on Wednesday by The Academy’s official Instagram account. Abhishek Varman is the director. featuring Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, and Varun Dhawan. Pritam Chakraborty wrote the song. Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the lyrics.
Excitement from movie buffs flooded the comment section. While the actor received kathak training for the song, a number of them complimented Alia’s dancing abilities. “Alia bhatt’s performance has been spectacular in every movie she’s done,” wrote a comment on Instagram.
Another said, “Alia is the biggest female Indian superstar right now.” A third comment said, “Beautiful song (red heart emojis) and choreography.”
Shreya Ghoshal’s vocals were also praised by a number of Instagram users. “I think The Academy is a big fan of Shreya Ghoshal,” one of them remarked. A third comment said, “Shreya Ghoshal has never failed to impress us with her classical vocal abilities (sparkling red heart emoji).”
The second song that Shreya has done is called Ghar More Pardesiya, and it can be found on The Academy’s official Instagram account. Her Deewani Mastani from Deepika Padukone’s 2016 period romance Bajirao Mastani, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, was also recognised by The Academy earlier this year.
