In view of the worsening situation of Corona virus infection in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a meeting with the governors of all the states. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu also attended the meeting.
During this time the Prime Minister discussed the role of governors in the war against Corona and advised them to work closely with the state governments.
A record number of new cases of Covid-19 are being reported daily in states like Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
The Prime Minister’s Office said that during the talks, Modi advised the governors and lieutenant governors of all the states and union territories to actively ensure that the social institutions are comfortable cooperating with the state governments regarding the micro-container zone.
He said that the government is committed to ensuring adequate availability of the vaccine and during the Tika Utsav- the vaccination campaign expanded and new vaccination centers were also established.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the meeting that there is a need to use the combined power of all community organizations, political parties, NGOs, social organizations in the fight against Covid-19.
Prime Minister Modi told the governors that the government is committed to ensuring adequate availability of vaccines. Along with spreading the message about vaccination and treatment, the Governor can also spread awareness about measures related to AYUSH.
