The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has begun questioning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in connection with the money laundering probe linked to the National Herald newspaper. The National Herald, started by Jawaharlal Nehru, was published by the AJL before it was sold to YIL in 2010.

Subramanian Swamy has accused Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul of conspiring to cheat and misappropriate funds. The Gandhis are being asked questions about the takeover of the AJL by YIL, sources say.

The property, valued at ₹16.38 crore, was attached in 2020. Sonia Gandhi has been asked to join the probe in the case on June 23.
