Ajay Devgn’s latest directorial has had a bad start at the box office. Runway 34 made just ₹3 crore on Friday. The film, which also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan, is due to hit Bollywood screens this weekend.

Runway 34 has not delivered a promising first day at the box office. The film tells the story of a botched airplane landing and subsequent investigation. It is directed and led by Ajay Devgn and stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh. It is the lowest opening day for Ajay Devgn since Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge (2010) KGF Chapter 2, which entered its third week on Thursday still managed another ₹4.25 crore. The film is inspired by the true story of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft that narrowly escaped from an emergency landing in Kochi, India last year.

Review by critic says that the film takes you on a journey thousands of feet above the ground. The film is a great storyteller, I must say.
