‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ surpasses two Bollywood mega movies overseas
The Legend of Maula Jatt is the first film from Pakistan to gross $100 million globally in the first ten days of release.
According to reports, the film not only shattered records domestically but also internationally. By defeating two Bollywood celebrity movies on its first day of foreign distribution on its 13th day, TLoMJ has already accomplished a significant milestone.
On the occasion of Diwali, the films Ram Setu, starring Akshay Kumar, and Thank God, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Ajay Devgan, were released. In India, both films did well on their opening day, but their worldwide box office results were “very low”.
In Canada and the United Kingdom, Bollywood films performed “higher” at the box office than the Pakistani film TLoMJ, according to Bollywood analyst Komal Nahta.
On Wednesday, Nahta posted on Twitter, saying, “Thank God Ram Setu at least managed respectable collections on day 1 in India because of Diwali break, but both fared poorly outside. The opening day of the Pakistani film Maula Jatt is higher than the opening day of both Bollywood flicks.
“Canada Day 13 on Tuesday, October 25, MJ $31,183. Ram Setu $12,714, Punjabi Honeymoon $20,923, and Thank God $14,444, according to his tweet. (To be continued.)
He went on to say, ” (Contd.) UK: On October 25, the 13th Day MJ is worth £32,261. Thank God (Day 1): £11,884; Ram Setu (Day 1): £11,794. Australia: On October 25, the 13th Day MJ is worth $10,282. Ram Setu ($11,307 on Day 1): Thank God.
The distributor of TLoMJ and owner of the Atrium theatres, Nadeem Mandviwalla, responded by thanking Nahta for his thoughts and remarking, “What a glorious time for every Pakistani. Thank you @KomalNahta for being so open-minded. We are grateful to Bilal Lashari and Ammara Hikmat for creating this movie and making the entire country proud.
For those who are unaware, Maula Jatt is a remake of the legendary 1979 film Maula Jatt and stars Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, and Humaima Malick in significant parts.

Kangana Ranaut has denied speculations about joining politics solely due to the box office failure of her films.
Kangana Ranaut, the BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Mandi for the 2024 elections, expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for her political entrance. In an interview with Times Now, she questioned whether she joined politics due to her movies’ poor box office performance, comparing it to Shah Rukh Khan’s previous unsuccessful films.

Kangana responded to a question about her career, stating that she has never had a flop. She compared Shah Rukh Khan’s films to Pathaan, Queen, and Manikarnika, noting that if she had a flop in Emergency, it would be a big hit. Kangana compared her career to Shah Rukh Khan, who had consecutive flops for ten years. She also mentioned that she had not had a single hit for 7-8 years before Queen, but after that, she had a few good movies.
No stars from OTT?
The last generation of stars, known for their talent and demand, are now able to showcase their talents more through OTT. However, the author expresses a desire to involve themselves more with the real world, rather than being consumed by the arts, stating that they are not satisfied with the current status quo.
