The Russian invasion has killed 153 children and injured 245, with Kyiv being the hardest hit

As many as 153 children have been killed and 245 injured since Russian military invasion of Ukraine, prosecutor’s office says. About 400 children have suffered in Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s armed aggression, says Children’s Ministry of Health. Saturday marks 37th day of Moscow’s assault on Kyiv.

Most of the deaths occurred in the Kyiv region (73), followed by the southeastern region of Donetsk (65) and eastern region of Kharkiv (46).

Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, and Kyiv have the worst situation. Bombing and shelling have caused damage to 859 educational institutions so far.

Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov says some progress has been made at peace talks with Ukraine. He says Kyiv has shown “much more understanding” of the situation in Crimea and Donbas. Moscow is preparing its response to Ukrainian proposals for de-Stabilising Measures (MFS).
