Tinder announced its return to the first-person series “Swipe Night”. The second season of Swipe Night is called Swipe Night: Killer Weekend. It will be launched on Sunday, November 7 and will be broadcast in 25 global markets including India for three weeks. It will bring a new storyline where Tinder members will be able to spend a birthday weekend with a group of friends, where they will even become suspects in the murder mystery based on the choices they make.
Tinder will provide its iconic sliding function to allow members to understand the story more deeply. Each episode of the second season of Tinder’s Swipe Night will require members to make more than 10 different choices, and each of these decisions will lead them on a different path. Tinder chose Sasie Sealy to guide the new season. Celie is famous for the black comedy robbery movie Lucky Granny. In addition to Sealy, the second season of Swipe Night also has a young cast, including Ashley Ganger (Grand Army), Calvin Seabrooks (Dollface, Westworld), Luke Slattery (New Amsterdam, Late Night), Francesca Olivia Xuereb (Room 203, The Sex Lives (Female College Student), Nozipho Mclean (Inheritance, are you happy now), Ivan Carlo (Gossip Girl) and Emile Ravenet.
Just like the previous season, Tinder’s goal is the second season of the Z-generation Swipe Night series. It aims to provide young users with a new way to find matches on the platform without having to browse the personal information of different members.
Kyle Miller, vice president of products at Tinder, said in a statement: “The evolution of Swipe Night and the wider experience on Tinder allows members to break the deadlock in a fun, low-pressure way.” We decided to adopt the mystery type because it is a catalyst for dialogue and a unique opportunity for members to learn about their opponents by solving crimes together.”
The Los Angeles, California-based company claims that 20 million members on its platform experienced the first “Swipe Night” and their number of matches increased by 26%. Although Tinder and Match Group India General Manager Taru Kapoor told Gadgets 360 that India’s response was “incredible,” he did not disclose clear details of India’s response.
