The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said on Monday that a Benami transaction worth ₹ 150 crores was detected after some people, hawala dealers and traders searched in Raipur (Chhattisgarh). As a CBDT, a search of the houses of many people including government officials revealed that government employees are being ‘bribed’ every month in Chhattisgarh.
