Maharashtra government had recently assigned ten acres of land to TTD for the construction of the temple. Maharashtra tourism minister Aaditya Thackeray offered prayers at the Tirumala Tirupati temple and handed over documents pertaining to land donated for the Navi Mumbai temple. Aaditya Thackeray is on a pilgrimage to Tirumala Tirupati temple. The documents were handed over to TTD Trust Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy. Shiv Sena leader Milind Narvekar was also present during the event.
