Twitter Blue announces ‘Labs’ to let users early access to new features

The Weibo website Twitter has created a new way for some of its users to allow others to view new features before others. The company announced that subscribers who have signed up for the Twitter Blue service will be the first to experience some new features under the new “lab” banner.

Twitter explained in a post, “Lab is our way to share some of the latest features we are building, so you will have it earlier than others.” The Weibo site also pointed out many new features for Twitter users , Which includes conversations on iOS, allowing users to pin DM conversations to the top of the list.

In addition, users can now post longer video uploads from their desktop computers. Currently, Labs is only open to subscribers in Canada and Australia, Twitter said it will add more countries/regions soon. The company also revealed that Blue will be available on Android and the web in the near future. Earlier this week, Twitter allowed the host of its audio chat room Spaces to record and share chats with others.

The company said that this launch will initially be available to a limited number of Twitter Spaces hosts on iOS (and all listeners on iOS and Android), and it will expand to everyone else in a few weeks.
