Union Health Minister visits AIIMS to meet former PM Manmohan Singh

Indian Minister of Health Mansuk Mandavia visited AIIMS in Delhi on Thursday and asked about the health of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, who was admitted to the hospital yesterday with fever and weakness. The former prime minister was admitted to a private ward of the AIIMS Cardiac and Nerve Center on Wednesday and was looked after by a team of cardiologists led by Dr. Nitish Naik, the doctor said. Singh developed a fever on Monday and has recovered, but is weak and needs fluids. “Singh’s condition is stable,” a doctor in the hospital said. The Minister of Health hopes Singh will recover soon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished his predecessor Manmohan Singh a speedy recovery. In a tweet, Prime Minister Modi said: “I pray that Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji will be healthy and get well soon.” Congress called it routine treatment and stated that the former prime minister’s condition is stable. “There are some unconfirmed rumors about the health of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. He is in stable condition. He is undergoing routine treatment. We will share any updates as needed. We thank our friends in the media for their concern. ,” AICC Secretary Pranav Jha tweeted after being heavily inquired about Singh’s health. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also prayed for the former prime minister’s “speedy recovery and good health”.
