Yogi Adityanath extends free ration scheme for three months for 15 crore people of the state. UP will spend ₹3,270 crore for the scheme. It comes a day after a grand oath ceremony for the newly sworn-in chief minister.
The chief minister of the new BJP-ruled state, Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, was sworn in on Friday. The ceremony at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee cricket stadium saw a 70,000 plus turn out for the oath ceremony.
Yogi Adityanath’s cabinet is heavy on OBCs and Dalits, with 20 out of 52-member team being from these two communities. BJP aims to keep a focus on pro-poor governance in the Yogi 2.0 regime.
