A case has come out of Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh where the body of a girl who went missing from her house two days ago was found in the village pond. The girl’s family has alleged rape and murder. The villagers have become angry after this incident.
Actually, this is the case of Mubarakpur police station of Azamgarh, where the body of a 16-year-old girl was found in a pond in Usri village. The minor girl was missing from home for two days.
When the family and the villagers came to know about this, the angry villagers blocked the body by placing the body on the Sathianv Highway and demanded action against the accused and expressed displeasure over the negligence of the police.
Family members say that the girl has been raped and murdered and the corpse has been thrown into the pokhari. They allege that we had also given a missing person to the police station but the police did not take any action. Hundreds of women and men along with family members also blocked the Sakhi crossroads.
Police and officials who reached the spot during the conversation have ordered to register a case under Nominee Tahrir under 376 and 302, and have asked for an investigation on allegations of negligence and speedy action. With this, the police have sent the girl’s body for postmortem.
SP City Azamgarh Pankaj Pandey told that the investigation of the case has started, the accused boy against whom the family has given a complaint is in the custody of the accused police. Whatever the cause of death is revealed after investigation, action will be taken in the case accordingly.
