The people of Mumbai have been reported to be of little relief amidst increasing cases of the corona. Immunization campaign has started once again in Mumbai’s 62 private hospitals. Explain that the vaccination campaign was banned in many private hospitals in Mumbai due to a lack of vaccines.

The Brihanmumbai Municipality (BMC) gave this information. BMC reported that they received 2.35 lakh doses of the vaccine from the central government later this week. After which BMC approved the vaccination of 62 private hospitals in Mumbai. These 62 hospitals are among the 71 private hospitals where the vaccination campaign was stopped due to lack of vaccine.

According to BMC, the remaining nine private hospitals will buy vaccine doses today, after which they will be allowed to vaccinate from Tuesday. More than 1.6 million people have been vaccinated in Mumbai city so far, including health workers and frontline workers.

In Mumbai city, 50 thousand people were being given vaccine daily, but due to lack of vaccine last week, this number was seen to decrease. However on Sunday the BMC said that now private hospitals will allow Covid 19 vaccination to be done in private offices as well.

“We will allow private hospitals to set up vaccination camps in private offices where more than 100 employees work,” said Dr. Mangala Gomare, head of BMC’s public health department. However, the guidelines issued by the central government will be taken care of during this period.
