Jitesh scored 26 off 17 deliveries, including three sixes. While Jitesh helped his side with the crucial knocks, Vaibhav was equally effective with the new ball. Vaibhav Arora and Jitesh Sharma, who made their Indian Premier League debut on Sunday night, stood up to the captain’s expectations and played an important part in Punjab Kings’ 54-run win over CSK.
Sharing his views on the pair, Mayank during the post-match presentation said: “Vaibhav was with us a couple of years back. saw the talent there. He is different, he is young and has got some good skills. With Jitesh, Anil bhai had seen him when he was in MI. He said we’ve got to get this kid. He’s got good intent. Standout thing about him is his attitude.”
Batting first PBKS piled 180/8 on the board and then went to knock out CSK on 126. They will now play against Gujarat Titans on Friday.
