Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has passed away at the age of 98 at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. He was admitted to the hospital on June 30 due to difficulty in breathing.
Veteran actor Dilip Kumar’s last rites will be performed today at 5 pm at Juhu Cemetery in Santacruz, Mumbai. Significantly, his body has been taken to his house.
Condoling the demise of veteran actor Dilip Kumar, PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday tweeted, “Dilip Kumar Ji will be remembered as a cinematic legend.” PM Modi added, “He was blessed with unparalleled brilliance, due to which audiences across generations were enthralled.” He also wrote, “His passing away is a loss to our cultural world.”
Significantly, Dilip Kumar made his Bollywood debut in 1944 and ‘Qila’ in 1998 was his last film.
