Vivo V23 Pro is expected to be the first mobile phone with a “replaceable fluorite glass” design to be launched in India. This means that when exposed to sunlight and ultraviolet light, the color of the back will change the shade. The new Vivo mobile phone is expected to debut in India next month. Rumor factories suggest that Vivo V23 Pro may be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC and run on Android 12 out of the box. It is said that Vivo may also launch the regular Vivo V23 separately-sometime after the release of Vivo V23 Pro.
91Mobiles quoted people familiar with the matter as reporting that the Vivo V23 Pro will be equipped with a color-changing rear panel that will react to ultraviolet (UV) light and direct sunlight and provide different color patterns. According to reports, the back cover material is said to have better light reflection than anti-glare (AG) frosted glass. It stated that these changes will be sold as variable fluorite glass designs.
In September last year, Vivo showed a mobile phone with a color-changing back panel. The mobile phone uses electrochromic technology. You can change the color tone from pearl white to dark blue with the push of a side button. The Vivo brother OnePlus also showed its concept phone OnePlus 8T Concept with a color-changing film on the back in December last year. The film contains metal oxides in the glass, changing its color from dark blue to light silver.
Official details about Vivo V23 Pro have not yet been announced. However, 91Mobiles earlier reported that this smartphone will debut in India on January 4 or sometime in the first week of this month. Earlier this week, the Vivo V23 Pro allegedly appeared on the benchmark website Geekbench with the model number V2132. The online listing indicates that the phone will include the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC and 8GB of RAM. It is also equipped with a 64-megapixel main camera.
