It has been more than a year since Vivo launched its first smart watch, and it has brought a considerable specification sheet. Today, the company officially released Vivo Watch 2 in China.
The second-generation wearable device uses a 1.43-inch 466 x 466 OLED display that retains the attractive round surface, but simplifies the thick lines of the previous generation. The 46mm dial is wrapped in a 47g stainless steel body. It also has 5ATM waterproof function. Internally, Vivo Watch 2 supports eSIM, which allows Chinese users to receive calls and messages from their wrists independently of their smartphones. It also supports onboard music streaming smart and Jovi voice commands. Users can also get 2GB of onboard storage space for offline music playback, NFC support, and built-in GPS. Vivo also claims that Watch 2 will be used for 7 days between charges. This is shorter than 18 days in the original model.
In terms of health functions, Vivo loaded Watch 2 with 47 exercise modes, covering some of the more common activities, SpO2 sensors for blood oxygen saturation monitoring, heart rate sensors and sleep tracking intelligence. Vivo Watch 2: Pricing and availability
The latest smart watches from the BBK brand are not very attractive to companies such as Samsung, Apple and Garmin. In contrast, Vivo Watch 2 maintained its predecessor’s starting price of 1,299 yuan (approximately US$204). It can be pre-ordered now, but general sales will begin in China on December 29. The color schemes provided include Breaking Dawn, Force Black and Silver Wing.
