Hydroxychloroquine is an anti-malarial drug seen as a potential treatment for COVID-19. However, clinical trials have not been conducted to determine if effective treatment of COVID-19 is possible. US President Donald Trump called the hydroxychloroquine a ‘game-changer’ against Corona and requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to release it to the US.
