Pakistan’s supreme court meeting for third time to rule on the legality of political manoeuvres. Prime Minister Imran Khan dissolved national assembly over weekend and called for fresh elections. Court says it will only rule on whether deputy speaker acted against constitution in refusing to allow a vote on no-confidence motion.
The deputy speaker has refused to call a no-confidence vote in Khan’s government. The court could rule that the assembly is responsible for its own rules and regulations.
