Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, showed no signs of immediate relief in the drug case.
The Mumbai Special Court gave the Narcotics Control Board (NCB) more than two days to respond to the bail of three defendants-including Aryan Khan, Arbaz Merchant and Munmum Dhamecha-the bail request will be heard on Wednesday.
The first accused, Aryan Khan, stated in the special court bail application that he was erroneously implicated in the entire case. “The bail ban under section 37 of the NDPS Act will not apply because no compensation has been received from him and all the charges involve only a small amount,” his bail application said.
Aryan Khan’s defense stated that the prosecutor only relied on certain so-called WhatsApp chats to get him involved in the current proceedings, without confirming the authenticity or accuracy of the chats.
